In this two hour workshop we will explore how Yoga can help support low back health through physical practices (asana), as well as mindfulness techniques to increase body awareness. We will discuss a little anatomy, a little philosophy, and move the body mindfully together. You will come away with tools you can use in your everyday life to help keep you strong and centered, so that you can continue to participate in the active lifestyle you love.
Jenn is a 500HR Yoga teacher who knows intimately the importance of a healthy low back. In 2009 she sustained a stress fracture in her lower spine which, in turn, led to a condition called Spondylolisthesis. Through the practices of Yoga she has been able to not only manage physical pain and regain mobility, but also change the trajectory of her life. She is deeply passionate about sharing the power of Yoga for healing in a light-hearted, sincere, and accessible manner.
